About Sharon

Sharon Metivier has been teaching voice in the Brunswick area since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with a vocal music minor from Baldwin Wallace University and has studied Somatic Voicework (tm) The LoVetri Method Levels I, II and III. Sharon has studied with Benjamin Czarnota (Philadelphia School of the Arts, Baldwin Wallace), David Gooding (Strongsville, Ohio), Charles Smith (Baldwin Wallace) and piano with Dr. George Cherry (Baldwin Wallace). She teaches musical theater and classical repertoire to students aged 10 and older.

Sharon is a regular soloist and worship pianist at many area churches and works closely with local school systems to provide vocal coaching for school productions, OMEA Solo and Ensemble Contests and sectional work.

Sharon specializes in college audition preparation and performance. Her students have gone on to study vocal music performance, music education, music ministry and musical theater at colleges across the country including Baldwin Wallace University, University of Cincinnati (Musical Theater), Lipscomb University, College of Wooster, Ohio State University, Mount Union and many others. Her students have performed in the Miss Ohio Pageant, the Count Basie Center for the Arts (New Jersey) and regularly perform in school productions, community theater, bands and ensembles.
